            Excess urinary losses (Active liver disease, CCF)

            Inhibition (Anticonvulsants, Sulfasalazine)

       - With normal uptake of erythron in high demand-to-supply state:

            Pregnancy

            Lactation

            Premature neonate

            Haemolytic anaemia

            Chronic inflammation

            Malignant disorders
